Tournament Day:
On the day of the tournament, you might be unsure of what to do. Tournament moderators will be there to help, but here is a general overview of what to expect.
Custom Keys and Check-In reminders can be sent to your phone via SMS. Be sure your contact information is up to date in your
Your Profile.
Check in for this tournament will begin 60 minutes prior to the start time. Simply visit the tournament registration page when check in begins, and click "Check In". If you do not check in before the tournament start time, you will not be placed on the bracket. No exceptions.
There is a 19 player limit for this tournament! Only the first 19 players checked in will be allowed to compete.
At the tournament start time, you will be sent a custom key to join the Private Lobby via text or it will be posted in the HLX Discord Server (be sure to have the Fortnite role selected). Instructions on how to join a private lobby can be found on the “Overview” tab above. This code is private and may not be shared with anyone! Leaking the code will result in immediate removal from the tournament! You are responsible for getting the code in time. The lobby will begin without you if you fail to join in time. You have 5 minutes after the code is sent to join the lobby or the match will begin without you.
Note: Players
Do Not need to report their own scores for this tournament.
If you have any questions during the tournament, you may contact the tournament moderators via Support Tickets in the Discord or raise a dispute on the website.
Streaming Conduct
If you choose to stream the tournament, here are a few guidelines. Your stream conduct
can result in removal from the tournament.
-When entering the Custom Key to join the Private Lobby, please hide your screen. Leaking the code delays the matching, and can results in a ban.
-Always adhere to the HLX community guidelines while streaming. Violating the HLX Community Guidelines on stream can result in a ban from the tournament.
-If you choose to stream, do so at your own risk. We recommend using a stream delay. If you get stream sniped, HLX is not responsible for investigating the issue and you will not receive any remakes or points. HLX will take appropriate action

No-Shows:
If you do not check in prior to the tournament, you will not be allowed to compete. Players have up to 5 minutes after the lobby code is sent or posted to join the lobby. After this time, if no effort is made to contact tournament administrators to alert them of a delay, the match will begin without you. It is always your responsibility to get the Custom Key in time. We recommend having your Phone Number up to date in Your Profile so that you can get the lobby code via text message.
Crashes:
For Battle Royal Tournaments: If you crash during a match, the lobby will not be remade. Unfortunately, we cannot restart for every person who disconnects or crashes due to time constraints and to keep it fair to all players. To avoid DC abuse and extensive delays, the only time a lobby will be remade is when 10 or more players disconnect at the same time.
Payouts:
After winning a tournament, HLX has up to 7 days to disperse tournament winnings. However, payment will usually be sent within 24 hours. HLX covers fees to send payment, but be aware that depending on the amount being sent, you could be paying fees as well. Any payment related questions should be directed to HLX staff.
Cheating:
The use of any 3rd party program, external hardware, or actions that give players an unfair advantage over their competition is strictly prohibited. This includes cheat software, modified controllers, Cronus Zen (and similar devices), stream sniping, and game exploits.
ADDITIONALLY: Kill Farming, “teaming”, or lobby rigging will result in a ban. This is described as planting players in a lobby for the sole purpose of allowing a competitor to kill them, artificially inflating their score. “Teaming” with anyone in your lobby is also bannable, meaning you may not work together as a “duo” to gain an advantage.

These rules are a general outline of the standard players are expected to maintain at all times during Hyperluxe Gaming events and while communicating on the Hyperluxe Gaming platforms. Moderators reserve the right to interpret these rules how they feel best upholds the Hyperluxe Gaming Community Guidelines, which may vary from the rules listed above. All players have the right to ban appeals, if you would like to appeal a ban, contact the tournament moderator who issued the ban and they will elevate the issue.
